MPhil Infant Mental Health
Progra?mme overview
The Infant Mental Health (IMH) program is designed to equip clinicians with knowledge, insights, and skills necessary for working with children 0 to 36 months. It suits but is not limited to, professionals who are mental health, special education, child welfare, social service and childcare providers as well as supervisors of these direct-service providers.
The modules introduce trainees to the field and facilitate the development of clinical skills, including observing, thinking, and reflecting while working with infants and their caregivers in family and social set-ups with the aim of producing clinicians adept at identifying early risk processes leading to childhood psychopathology.
