The department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care prides itself on evidence-based practices and its scientific footprint.  The department is engaged in various avenues of research with particular interests in Pain and in Critical Care. The department hosts a number of PHD candidates as well as post-doc fellows. 

Current areas of research focus : 

• Preoperative medicine and pre-habilitation
• Acute and Chronic Pain
• Anaesthesiology and its various subspecialties
• Critical Care
• Perioperative ethics
