Undergraduate Anaesthesiology and Critical Care
It is important that students have adequate anaesthetic knowledge and practical experience to treat their patients safely and with confidence in the future.
In their middle rotation (4th?year) students attend 3 weeks of lectures to give them the necessary theoretical knowledge of anaesthesia.
Students also spend 3 weeks with our department in their final rotation. During the first week they receive a theoretical overview (tutorials) and also participate in practical and computer sessions. During the last 2 weeks they rotate through our theatres, intensive care unit and recovery for practical participation in patient care. This time is used to refine their knowledge and skills introduced in the preceding theoretical training. ??
