SUNLOC:
The Portfolio of Clinical Services and Social Impact is closely linked to the SUNLOC office. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences present 6 programmes in which the undergraduate students receive clinical training at approximately 324 different facilities in the Western Cape and Northern Cape. These clinical training sites consist of CBD and rural sites known as the FMHS’ Distributed Training Platform (DTP). The DTP allows future doctors, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech-language and hearing therapists to integrate into the clinical environments. Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 Logistics for the Clinical Training Platform (SUNLOC) provides professional support service situated under Dr Therese Fish (Vice Dean: Clinical Services and Social Impact).
SUNLOC’s offices are situated at Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票’s Tygerberg campus. It offers transport, accommodation solutions and IT support to undergraduate students.
SUNLOC also supports a number of service-learning centers at remote venues, to ensure that students have the same learning opportunities as they would have had on campus.
