Haematological Pathology is a branch of laboratory medicine that concerns the study of haematological diseases and the abnormalities in the haematological system as a result of other systemic diseases. The scope of Haematological Pathology includes the investigation, diagnosis, therapeutic monitoring and research of (i) haematological malignancies, such as leukaemias and lymphomas, (ii) anaemias, such as nutritional and haemolytic anaemias, (iii) haemostatic defects, including bleeding tendencies and hypercoagulability, and (iv) prenatal blood grouping and atypical antibody identification.?
