Welcome to the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票, established in 1962 within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Our mission is to lead the nursing profession in Africa and beyond through innovative and evidence-based education and research, enhancing health outcomes in our communities.
We provide high-quality education for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including our Bachelor of Nursing program launched in 2019. Our postgraduate offerings encompass Primary Health Care, Critical Care Nursing, Operating Room Nursing, Advanced Midwifery, Neonatology, Advanced Psychiatric Nursing, Nursing Education, and Nursing Management, along with various short learning programs. Our approach prioritizes person-centered learning.
We also offer structured master's and PhD programs in Nursing, focusing on research relevant to the African context. Through our academic and clinical initiatives, we engage in impactful social projects across the province, collaborating closely with the communities we serve.
