Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences: pledge ceremonies
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) pledge ceremony for undergraduate health sciences, MBChB and nursing graduands and BScHons (Biokinetics) graduands will be held on Wednesday, 11 December 2024.

Sports Hall, Tygerberg Student Centre (TSC), Tygerberg Campus

09:00 (morning session): Undergraduate health sciences, nursing and BScHons (Biokinetics)
14:30 (afternoon session): MBChB

In-person ceremony
Guests
Graduands may invite two (2) guests to attend the ceremony in the Sports Hall, Tygerberg Student Centre.
Additional guests will be accommodated in the over-flow venue, Lecture Hall 11, Education Building, Tygerberg Campus.
Academic attire for the FMHS pledge ceremony
Please follow the steps below to hire, collect and return academic attire.
Important information: It is compulsory that graduands wear a black gown for the FMHS Pledge Ceremony on Wednesday, 11 December 2024. Please note that no hoods are required for the pledge ceremony. Hoods are only required for graduation.

Collections: FMHS graduands can collect their academic attire from two venues: Tygerberg campus (selected days only as shown below), as well as the Danie Craven Clubhouse (located at Danie Craven Stadium, directly opposite the Coetzenburg Centre (as per the Graduation website).
Collections at Tygerberg Campus, Lecture Hall 7, Education Building (for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences only):
- Monday, 9 December 2024, 09:00 to 16:00
- Tuesday, 10 December 2024, 09:00 to 16:00
- Wednesday, 11 December 2024, 08:00 to 17:00.
Returns: FMHS graduands can return their academic attire to the Danie Craven Clubhouse (located at Danie Craven Stadium, directly opposite the Coetzenburg Centre as per the graduation website. Returns at Tygerberg campus, Lecture Hall 7, Education Building are only on the selected day as shown below:
Friday, 13 December 2024, 09:00 to 16:00.
Photographer
Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票’s official photographer will take photographs during the handing over of the scroll, as well as at the signing of the pledge book.
Unfortunately, photographers hired by families cannot be accommodated during the ceremony. There will be time available after the ceremony for families and friends to take photos at the pledge book.
