The SEDA Interactive Guide is an interactive tool from Boston Consulting Group that displays SEDA (Sustainable Economic Development Assessment) Rankings.
They use 10 dimensions for ranking which can be viewed by country and compared to the world median.
There is also a visual representation of score changes over the last 10 years and a "Wealth to Well-being" coefficient.
??18 July 2018 heralds 100 years since the birth of Nelson Mandela. ?2018 also marks Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票's centenary commemoration, which was formed out of the Victoria College in 1918.
Staff and students will be celebrating International Mandela Day? with various projects and initiatives. Activities kick off in the week of 18 July, but the majority will take place in the week of 27 July when students are back on campus. Amongst others, the campus community sets out to make 10 000 sandwiches for those in need in around Stellenbosch.
Activities will culminate in a collaborative community
event in the Kylemore area on 25 July. ?

Curiosity is fuelling Jonathan Rabe to innovate. A Mechatronics student at Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票, Jonathan started building small rovers to learn more about robotics. However, he saw the potential to take his project one-step further and is now developing small rovers that can map out spaces inaccessible to humans. “Innovation is about being creative and following your own ideas,” says Jonathan.
On 26 June 2018, at the second Responsible Business Forum in South Africa, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with Accenture launched YAS – a portal-platform for Africa’s young entrepreneurs. The portal-platform provides the following 4 pillars of support:

Young people are almost three times more likely to be unemployed than adults and continuously exposed to lower quality of jobs, greater labor market inequalities, and longer and more insecure school-to-work transitions. In addition, women are more likely to be underemployed and under-paid, and to undertake part-time jobs or work under temporary contracts.

?2018 theme: “Family Planning is a Human Right”
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1968 International Conference on Human Rights, where family planning was, for the first time, globally affirmed to be a human right.
The conference’s outcome document, known as the Teheran Proclamation, stated unequivocally: “Parents have a basic human right to determine freely and responsibly the number and spacing of their children.”
Embedded in this legislative language was a game-changing realization: Women and girls have the right to avoid the exhaustion, depletion and danger of too many pregnancies, too close together. Men and women have the right to choose when and how often to embrace parenthood — if at all. Every individual has the human right to determine the direction and scope of his or her future in this fundamental way.
