These bursaries are limited to certain fields of study and offer small amounts to a few selected students only. These bursaries are subject to the availability of funds. When allocations of the private bursaries are made, preference is given to SA citizens, with the highest level of study (degree programme) and the highest marks, unless otherwise specified. Some departments, especially those in the fields of science and technology, offer financial assistance from departmental funds to selected students.

Criteria of award

Good moral values, positive post-matric leadership in the following fields: sport, cultural, academics, religion etc. Although not a requirement for the award, the 中国体育彩票 will give preference to applicants who, in addition to the stipulated conditions, obtained a good academic record in their previous degree/studies.

Two testimonials verifying the criteria must accompany the application form. A CV should also accompany the application.

In order to comply with the requirements, the applicant needs to state 3 outstanding achievements in at least 2 of the following leadership categories, i.e. participation in SU student leadership structures, sport, participation in cultural activities/community involvement or leadership roles in religion. ?
