Established in 1973, Pieke is Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票's oldest CSC and proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023 with alumni and current members. Guided by the values of Honour, Excellence, Integrity, and Service, Pieke strives for success across sports, culture, academics, and social spheres. As part of the Rubix Cluster, Pieke fosters growth and collaboration with its fellow communities.

Culturally, Pieke's a cappella group, Pieke Manssêr, has twice represented Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 at the National Kleinsêr Competition and remains a highlight for its members. Pieke has also excelled in Toneelfees and is known for its spirited and respectful campus serenades.
In sports, Pieke boasts achievements such as multiple squash A-league titles, victories in the inter-residence swimming gala, and strong performances in soccer, hockey, and table tennis. The CSC Barbarians rugby team, which includes Pieke players, is a formidable force in the Maties Rugby League.

Academically, Pieke supports newcomers with a mentorship program that pairs them with senior members for guidance and assistance, encouraging academic excellence throughout their university journey.

Despite not living in a residence, Pieke thrives as a spirited and united community. Events like the House Dance and the Pieke Summit hike create a “home away from home” for members, fostering safety, security, and belonging.???

?Mentor ?Programme

Pieke offers a mentorship program led by senior members to support the academic needs of newcomers. In addition, various committees are in place to foster growth and provide opportunities for members to mentor and be mentored within the House. Currently, 12 mentors have been carefully selected from a larger group of senior members to guide newcomers during their first year. Their primary role is to create a safe and positive environment, particularly during Welcoming Week.??

Academics & Development
Pieke offers a variety of academic support initiatives, including mentor groups, cluster study groups, and resources designed to help members succeed. The community also provides leadership development and critical engagement opportunities, fostering personal growth and academic excellence.

Sport
Pieke members have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports, such as rugby (through the CSC Barbarians), football, hockey, e-sports, and ultimate Frisbee. These activities promote teamwork and a healthy competitive spirit.

Culture
Cultural engagement is central to the Pieke experience. Members can get involved in SU A cappella, Molassesêr, Toneelfees, and Woordfees. Pieke also hosts music and culture evenings, providing a platform for members to showcase their creative talents.

Moments of Awe
Throughout the year, Pieke organises special events that create lasting memories, including the SU & Pieke Welcoming, Pieke Summit, House Dance, Serenade, and Pieke Week. These events help build a strong sense of belonging and unity within the community.?
