Purpose
The TLA Committee is mandated to:
Enhance the quality, effectiveness, and inclusivity of teaching, learning, and assessment across FMS programmes.

Key Functions
Policy Implementation & Quality Assurance: Enforces SU's teaching and assessment policies, ensuring academic fairness, validity, and transparency.
Curriculum Development & Evaluation: Oversees academic renewal, programme redesign, and alignment with graduate attributes.
Support for Academic Staff: Facilitates development in teaching practices and integration of educational technologies, including ethical AI use.
Ethical Oversight & Academic Integrity: Collaborates with the Ethics Committee to uphold ethical academic practices.
Student-Centred Approaches: Provides formal channels to address student concerns and wellbeing in academic contexts.
Innovation & Accessibility: Encourages inclusive, hybrid, and transformative teaching approaches tailored to military and civilian learning contexts.
Working Groups
Three permanent Working Groups report to the TLA Committee:
Programme Coordinators Working Group (PCWG): Focused on curriculum and operational programme matters.
College Coordinators Working Group (CCWG): Focused on college-specific academic delivery and quality assurance.
Special Interest Working Groups (SIWGs): Formed as needed to address specific topics, with either temporary or semi-permanent status.
