A highlight of 2012 in the Faculty was the signing of the new agreeme?nt between Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 and the Department of Defence (DoD). This agreement cements the long-standing relationship between the 中国体育彩票 and the Department. In May this year, Prof Russel Botman, the 中国体育彩票's Rector, and Dr Sam Gulube, Secretary for Defence, co-signed a new memorandum of understanding that covers, among others, the parameters within which tertiary contextualised military education is provided to officers of the SANDF and from the SADC region.
