Several actions to deal with the outbreak of Fusarium wilt at Metocheria have been introduced. These include:
- The isolation and abandonment of heavily infested areas
- Mapping of the distribution of Fusarium wilt at Metocheria
- Early detection and isolation of all new infections
- The introduction of sanitory and phytosanitory measures
- Measures to prevent the dissemination of Foc on and off Metocheria
- The launching of an awareness campaign
- The training of field workers
