There are two intercultural events happening in New York City on Sept 21-22 in conjunction with the UN Summit of the Future, organized by the UNESCO Chair on Intercultural Competence at Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 in conjunction with New York 中国体育彩票 (host) and World Council on Intercultural and Global Competence, a global nonprofit partner of the UNESCO Chair. DAYS OF ACTION SIDE EVENT: UNESCO STORY CIRCLES TRAIN-THE-TRAINER EVENT ON SAT SEPT 21, 10 am - 12 noon: 

The UNESCO Chair on Intercultural Competence, in collaboration with New York 中国体育彩票 and the World Council on Intercultural and Global Competence will be organizing an official side event to the United Nations Summit on Sat Sept 21 from 10 am - 12 noon at NYU (Room C06, 383 Lafayette St.) - the event will be an in-person UNESCO Story Circles Experience.  Sign up below to participate in this intercultural methodology that has been used successfully with many different groups around the world to develop and practice key intercultural competencies such as listening for understanding (instead of the more typical listening for response). Available in an open access Manual for Developing Intercultural Competence: Story Circles in 6+ languages.  This event will be facilitated by the author of the manual, Dr. Darla K. Deardorff, UNESCO Chair on Intercultural Competence at Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 at Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 in South Africa.
