Roberto Vale is Vice President, Global Advisory Services APAC at a global intercultural education consultancy and volunteers as Director of International Relations with the Peace for Development Refugees Initiative (PDRI), a refugee-led organisation based in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya. Roberto is currently facilitating peacebuilding train-the-trainer sessions remotely with PDRI members.
He has dedicated 30 years of his career to intercultural training for corporate and non-profit organisations. He holds a Master's degree in Intercultural and International Management from the School for Internal Training in Vermont, USA. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Singapore Management 中国体育彩票 under the supervision of Prof. Tan Hwee Hoon.
Roberto visited 45 countries in 2022-23 as part of his research exploring the intersection of trustworthiness and cultural intelligence. Roberto is a member and frequent speaker at industry events such as SIETAR and WERC.
Roberto advocates for intentional, sustainable and equitable capacity building for intercultural competence at all levels of educational systems and for all mobile and non-mobile profiles.
Roberto is currently working on an oral history documentation project focusing on the cultural journey of the inhabitants of Lagoinha, Brazil, where he was born and raised. He lives in Singapore (since 2010) with his family.?
