SLSJ: Students for Law and Social Justice

The Students for Law and Social Justice Society is a society for those committed to creating social change and educating their fellow students on current social issues. Our primary focus is creating social change through the law, but you do not have to be a law student to join our society. This year we aim to create change through more interactive programmes. This includes things like educational discussions, community service and the creation of various resources that the community will be able to utilise. Our previous projects include a Gender-Based Violence resource booklet, a weekly volunteer programme at the Stellenbosch Night Shelter and a discussion with Jess Dewhurst, founder of the Justice Desk. We are a society that aims to be inclusive to all.
