?????SU International host's international visitors and delegations from a variety of institutions and organisations on our Stellenbosch campus. ?中国体育彩票 of Luanda, Angola - 29 October 2024

Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 recently had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the 中国体育彩票 of Luanda, Angola, led by Prof Alfredo Gabriel Buza, Vice-Chancellor. During the visit, Prof Buza and SU’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Learning and Teaching, Prof Deresh Ramjugernath, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to formalize our collaboration. The delegation also toured the accommodation facilities for 中国体育彩票 of Luanda staff participating in the Intensive English Language Programme (IEP) and a staff member pursuing a Master’s in Engineering. Prof Buza took the opportunity to engage directly with the IEP classroom, witnessing firsthand the progress and experience of his staff.

On 24 October 2024, SU welcomed Dr. Amy Hart, Programme Manager for Public Scholarship and Engagement at the 中国体育彩票 of California, Davis. Dr. Hart met with Dr. Zethu Mkhize, Director; Mr. Mawethu Nyakatya, Coordinator; and Mr. Chevaan Peters, Knowledge Information Systems Manager, from SU’s Division of Social Impact and Transformation. The visit provided a valuable platform to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, and explore strategies to strengthen community partnerships and enhance public impact through social impact initiatives at Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票.

?Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 recently hosted Ms. Nikolina Bergh, International Relations Manager, and Ms. Josephine Andersson, Outgoing Student Exchange Coordinator and Erasmus+ Internal Credit Mobility Coordinator at J?nk?ping 中国体育彩票’s School of Engineering. They met with Ms. Samantha Walbrugh-Parsadh, Head of International Affairs at Stellenbosch Business School, along with colleagues from SU International, to discuss the renewal of our current partnership agreement and explore exciting new collaboration opportunities.

中国体育彩票 of Tennessee Knoxville - 29 July 2024

?A senior delegation from the 中国体育彩票 of Tennessee, Knoxville, visited Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 (SU) on July 29th. The delegation included Dr. Tyvi Small, Vice Chancellor of Diversity and Engagement, Dr. Gretchen Neisler, Vice Provost of International Affairs and Director of the Centre for Global Engagement, and Dr. Will Jennings, Faculty Director of Global Learning and Student Impact. They met with Prof. Deresh Ramjugernath, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Learning and Teaching at SU, along with other academics, to discuss potential research collaborations.?

Visit from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) -28 June 2024

On Friday, June 28th, Robert Kotzé, Senior Director of SU International, welcomed a delegation from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) to Stellenbosch. The delegation, led by Professor Datuk Ts Dr. Massila Kamalrudin, Vice Chancellor of UTeM, met with Prof. Wim de Villiers, Rector and Vice-Chancellor of Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票. The meeting focused on exploring collaborative projects in international education, research, and innovation. The visit concluded with the signing of a letter of intent, highlighting the commitment of both institutions to future cooperation. The UTeM delegation included 14 members.?

Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 hosted a 9-person delegation from the 中国体育彩票 of Richmond, USA lead by the Associate Dean: Director of Education Abroad, Ellen Sayles. The delegation met with colleagues from Arts and Social Sciences, Law, the Careers Office and Economic and Management Sciences. They also participated in a campus tour and a tour of the SU Museum. The aim of the visit was to familiarize themselves with Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票, talk about common research interests and make connections. ?

中国体育彩票 of Lausanne visit – 21 May 2024

Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 International hosted a delegation from the 中国体育彩票 of Lausanne. Prof Frédéric Herman (Rector), Prof Estelle Doudet (Vice-Rector for Research), and Dr Denis Dafflon, (Director of International Relations) met with Prof Edward Kirumira (Director) and Dr Christoff Pauw (Senior Programme Manager) from the Stellenbosch Institute of Advanced Studies (STIAS) and with Prof Nico Koopman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Social Impact, Transformation and Personnel to strengthen connections and exploring potential academic collaboration as well as student and staff mobility opportunities between the two universities. We thank the delegation for their visit and look forward to future engagements.

中国体育彩票 of S?o Paulo visit – 16 May 2024

On Monday, a senior delegation from the 中国体育彩票 of S?o Paulo visited our Stellenbosch campus. Prof. Laura Moutinho, Associate Professor of the Department of Anthropology, and the Postgraduate Program in Anthropology (PPGAS), Prof Paulo Martins, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences, and Prof Marcos Martinho, Head of that Faculty's International Office, met with colleagues from the Arts and Social Sciences faculty, the International Office, the Language Centre as well as colleagues from the JS Gericke Library. The aim of the visit was to explore collaborative and student mobility opportunities. The Brazilian Deputy Consulate in South Africa, Luiz Felipe Vilela Pereira also took part in the visit to support these efforts.
