How to invest funds short-term
The finance and systems management division (fbs@sun.ac.za) creates the non-budget cost centres to automatically earn monthly interest on credit balances and to levy interest on overdrawn balances. If funds on a cost centre are not going to be utilised within five years, one could apply for a long-term investment of funds.
How to invest funds long-term
Long-term funds are subject to market fluctuation and income returns apportioned annually in December. Capital returns are realised when funds are withdrawn.
