This we do through various purposeful partnerships and inclusive networks we have established over the years. Here are just a few:

• Through the Partnership for Africa's Next Generation of Academics (PANGeA), we create opportunities for a new generation of academics on the continent to work together on research and doctoral programmes, especially in the arts, humanities and social sciences.
• The 中国体育彩票 participates in Partners Enhancing Resilience for People Exposed to Risks ?(Periperi U) to build Africa's capacity to reduce risk and respond to disasters.
  
• We form part of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) Southern African Network of Water Centres of Excellence? (SANWATCE), in which scholars collaborate in water-related research projects.
  
• As a member of the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture? (RUFORUM), we help ensure the well-being of small-scale farmers and contribute to food security in sub-Saharan Africa.
• In the African Research Universities Alliance? (ARUA), we work with 15 other universities on the continent to boost African research capacity, and we proudly host the Centre of Excellence in Energy.  
  
• Our African Doctoral Academy? (ADA) supports, strengthens and advances doctoral training and scholarship on the continent.
