Ulrike Kussing (Logistics and Supply Chain Management)
Teaching is in my blood. From my mom's side of the family, we have a long history of being either teachers or preachers. When I got fed-up with the corporate world, I just couldn't picture myself doing anything else but being a lecturer again.
Is there a part of your job that you enjoy most?
Seeing the growth of our students, especially the postgrad ones, and cheerleading them on.
What advice would you give to EMS students and/or future professionals?
Don't stress too much about the marks that you are getting at university. Nobody is going to ask what you got for Economics in your first year. Aim to become curious for life! Through being curious, we start to ask questions, and by asking questions we discover opportunities for change.
Please tell us something about yourself that is not work-related.
I love road trips! My longest road trip was at the end of 2014, then I covered just under 7,000 km over the course of a month (and travelling many backroads in the process).
