AVReQ warmly invites submissions for our 2025 Postgraduate Colloquium, to be held in person at Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 from 9–10 September 2025.
This year's colloquium, themed 'Post'-Violence Subjectivities in the Global South, will bring together Master's and PhD students from Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票, UCT, UWC, and CPUT whose work engages critically with the lingering effects of violence ( e.g., historical, structural, and intimate) and their manifestation in the present.
The colloquium invites contributions that consider the intersections of history, memory, affect, and justice in addressing the ongoing reverberations of violence across generations.
We encourage submissions in a range of formats, including papers, panels, posters, and arts-based research. The colloquium seeks to foster rich interdisciplinary dialogue on the afterlives of violence, transgenerational trauma, memory, and the possibilities of justice and healing.
