Join us on a sonic and reflective journey on 12 February as we walk with the 'Endling', a sculptural work by Nicola Deane and Dominique Edwards. This walk is more than mere movement from one place to another – it is a meditation on time, loss, and collective presence. Accompanied by Garth Erasmus and a lullaby composed from decaying tapes in the Hidden Years Music Archive, this ritualised journey begins at the Archive, the very site that called the 'Endling' into being, and concludes with its temporary placement at the Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 Museum.
This intervention series includes two concerts featuring new works by Cara Stacey on 12 and 13 February. Working with multispecies provocation, time travel and code, Stacey explores how improvising and creating with tape, de-composition, images and mould could shape our listening; opening it up to dissonance, unpredictability and change.
This event forms part of a multinational research project entitled, Decay Without Mourning: Future Thinking Heritage Practices (www.decay.proj.kth.se), funded by the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ).
